Programming Pressure

Programming

This week we are planning to program the robot to go around the 2 chairs 3 times. We were at a lost until our teacher told us what to do, we haven't decided weather to make it go in a circle or in a wide square. We have a lot of pressure on us cause we are planning to turn it in this week, if not then RIP..
Things To Be Done This Week

Back to Basics : Part 2

We are currently modifying the programming to make the robot go in a larger circle, while avoiding the chairs but we have come across a few difficulties. The inner motor(left motor) moves faster than the outer motor, causing it to turn slowly, drifting in the left direction. A solution to this is to slow down the inner motor and speed up the outer motor. We also experienced the robot doing a complete 360 degree turn. We are going to continue to modify our program and if we don't receive good repetitive results, we will review again on Monday and come up with some other options as a team.

 This week we plan on making the new code I talked about in last weeks blog. The new code involves the robot going in a wider cycle without it being to close the the chair but just far enough that it can going around the two chair 3x. Things to be done:
-Modify or create new code
-Test the code until it's works
-Finish and turn in.

We have finally figured out what to do with a little help of our teacher, but we have finally figured that we need to make the cycle around the chair wider and we also need a bigger area to work with. So Monday we are planning to do the coding and making the code cycle around the chair 3 times. Today we will work on other things because we don't want one of the member to miss out on the coding.

 Well to start off with the issues list, the dang robot doesn't have a repeating result, even with the same code it's movement changes. When we change the code, we still get the wrong results. And i'm not going to lie this is getting very annoying and very stressful. But that's all yea it sucks but we will prevail.

Today we are going to program the robot, sadly to say we failed to turn in the robot on the due date we still plan on getting in turned in and getting a decent grade, but for now we are programming the robot. The following things below are what we plan on doing this week:
  • Finish the robot and turning it in.
  • Getting a new assignment  and working on that this week.

Well time is up this is it, this is the day that we Semper Fi have to complete the course we are making our finally check on the robot and making sure that everything is good and ready to run. We are hoping that the robot  makes it through the course without bumping into a chair or so -_-. Once we finish our finale check with the robot we will then proceed to the course, wish us luck.

Robot Problems And The Course


We are having robot issues apparently pieces of the robot are coming loose which is causing random problems for example when the robot turns on if it tends to move slightly to the left, which means we will have to rebuild the robot a little. So we are expecting to have it done somewhere this week. When we finish the robot is expected to finish the course.
